Former MMA light heavyweight fighter Anthony “Rumble” Johnson has died at 38.
The news of Johnson’s death was announced by Bellator MMA on social media this past Sunday Johnson was sick for over a year, according to them.
They wrote:
“The BELLATOR family id devastated by his untimely passing, and we send our condolences to his family and friends during this difficult time.
In September, Johnson took to his Instagram, telling his fans he needed “as many prayers as I can get, and made it clear that it was NOT COVID.
On May 17, Johnson giving an update, writing that he had received good news from his doctor and there were big improvements.
In Oct, Johnson’s manager told ESPN that he was “going through some health problems right now.. he’s not doing well.”
Johnson had 17 knockouts and six decisions.
His last fight was in 2021.
