Former MTV’s ‘Making The Band’ star Kevin “Chopper” Barnes has been arrested on alleged sex trafficking charges.
Rapper Chopper, whose real name is Kevin Barnes, was arrested in Maryland earlier this month after an undercover detective posing as a prostitute claimed he tried to recruit her into prostitution, according to TMZ.
Chopper is now being extradited to Las Vegas to face his charges.
The undercover detective said Barnes called them and allegedly bragged about traveling, having 7 houses and told her that Vegas wasn’t a safe place to do business, reports TMZ.
Barnes then allegedly told the undercover that she was apart of his “team”. He allegedly then ordered them to pack their belongings in an aggressive manner and meet him in Charlotte, N.C.
Legal docs show the investigation began after the rapper was seen on Instagram referencing prostitution. In one photo, Barnes is seen sitting in a private jet with a caption that read “Sending em” with a money emoji and a crown emoji.
