NEW JERSEY- Former NFL player Brendan Langley was arrested on an assault charge after getting into a fight with an airport employee.
The fight, which was caught on cellphone footage, happened on Thursday after 11 a.m. at Newark Liberty International Airport.
In the video, that has now gone viral, the employee is seen slapping Langley in the face. Both men exchanged words before Langley punched the worker twice, who then fell back and got up with a bloody face.
The worker continued to approach Langley, who can be heard telling someone “You saw that sht?!” before both continue to fight as employees attempt to break the fight up.
The footage doesn’t show what led to the fight, but United Airplanes says Langley is accused of improperly using a wheelchair to transport his luggage.
Langley, 28, was arrested and released on his own recognizance.
The employee was also fired.
