Former NFL Player Glenn Foster Dies While In Police Custody

ALABAMA- Former NFL player Glenn Foster died Monday while in police custody, authorities say.

The 31-year-old was booked into jail Sunday on charges of assault and third-degree robbery, jail records show.

Foster was taken to a hospital Monday, where he was pronounced dead.

A cause of death hasn’t been released yet, and there is an ongoing investigation, according to WIAT.

Foster played for the University of Illinois before he signed with the Saints in 2013 as an undrafted free agent.

He retired from the NFL in 2016.
