Fugitive Accused Of Asphyxiating Roommate By Sitting On Her
TEXAS- A fugitive accused of killing her roommate by sitting on her was arrested and charged Friday, police said.
Gloria Ann Jordan, 41, is accused of sitting on Gloria Farmer on Nov. 21 until she suffocated and died, reports KAUZ-TV.
The medical examiner’s office ruled Farmer’s death as natural causes, but an investigation was opened up after her family raised their concerns surrounding her death to authorities.
According to another roommate, she says she witnessed Jordan sitting on Farmer, but was scared of Jordan, so she didn’t come forward to police.
The roommate told investigators that she saw Jordan allegedly pushing Farmer to the ground in a chair, and then sat on her chest with her hands on her forehead praying as Farmer screamed that she couldn’t breathe, police say.
The third roommate told investigators that she attempted to take Jordan off of Farmer, but Jordan didn’t get off of the victim until she stopped breathing.
Farmer’s death was then ruled as mechanical asphyxia and a homicide.
Jordan is reportedly accused of repeatedly slamming another woman’s head into a wall on while shouting “I rebuke you in the name of the Lord” on Nov. 25.
Jordan has been charged with manslaughter.
