MIAMI, FL – A gag order is being sought for ‘Cartel Crew’ star Salomé “Betty” Jackson in connection to her sister’s death.
Lawyers for Michael McGowan, who was charged with manslaughter in the death of Giselle “Gigi” Rengifo, 17, asked a judge not to allow any evidence from the case to be shared with Jackson, or the public, reported The Miami Herald on Tuesday.
McGowan’s lawyers also asked the judge to issue a gag order, stopping Jackson from speaking with witnesses before the trial.
His lawyers also claim that due to Jackson’s social media posts, McGowan has allegedly received numerous death threats.
The motion was filed days after an episode on ‘Cartel Crew’ in which Jackson was speaking to a witness from the case.
Rengifo was shot and killed at a party in May.
