Grizzlies Ja Morant Under Police Investigation After Flashing Gun On Instagram Live

COLORADO – Memphis Grizzlies star Ja Morant is now under investigation after he seemed to flash a gun on Instagram Live while partying inside of a strip club.

The incident comes after the team had played the Denver Nuggets on Friday night, according to police.

Glendale police Captain Jamie Dillon told The Associated Press that they began looking into the incident after the video made it’s rounds on social media Saturday.

Police are investigating whether the NBA star committed any crime.

It’s unclear when Morant will return back to the team, according to coach Taylor Jenkins on Sunday. The point guard will most definitely be away for at least two games.

Jenkins said that Morant made “difficult decisions and poor choices” that he must be held accountable for.

Morant issued a public apology for the incident, writing:
“I take full responsibility for my actions last night,” he said. ‘I’m sorry to my family, teammates, coaches, fans, partners, the city of Memphis and the entire Grizzlies organization for letting you down. I’m going to take some time away to get help and work on learning better methods of dealing with stress and my overall well-being.”
