Hall Of Fame boxer Marvin Hagler dies at 66

Marvelous Marvin Hagler has died at the age of 66.

Hagler’s wife confirmed his death on his Facebook page, writing that the boxer died on Saturday in his home.

Kay Hagler wrote on Facebook:

“Today unfortunately my beloved husband Marvelous Marvin passed away unexpectedly at his home here in New Hampshire,” wrote Kay G. Hagler. She added “Our family requests that you respect our privacy during this difficult time.”

Hagler’s cause of death is unknown at this time.

The middleweight champ, born in New Jersey, began boxing in 1973. He went on to fight “Sugar” Ray Leonard in 1987 and was later inducted into the International Boxing Hall Of Fame.
