PUERTO RICO- Puerto Rico has declared a national emergency as Tropical storm Dorian heads towards the island.

Governor  Wanda Vasquez tweeted “I urge citizens to activate their emergency plan with caution and peace of mind.”

The Gov also told Puerto Ricans that are 360 shelters with a capacity of 48,500 for those who may need to a safe place.

According to forecaster’s, the storm will hit the island late Tuesday and are predicting that it will be a category 1 storm.

My island is still putting the pieces left over from hurricane Maria that left over 2000 dead last year.

People have been stocking up on water and food to prepare themselves. I do hope that this storm passes and doesn’t harm anyone.

Sending out love.
