Henry Ruggs Was Driving 156 MPH Before Deadly Crash; Prosecutors

Former Raiders receiver Henry Ruggs III was driving his Corvette 156 miles per hour before his deadly crash, that left one woman dead, on Tuesday, according to the Las Vegas Review-Journal.

Ruggs had the blood alcohol content of .161, which is more than twice the state’s legal limit of .08, Clark County Chief Deputy District Attorney Eric Bauman said in court Wednesday, reports the Las Vegas Review-Journal.

Ruggs appeared in front of a judge, in a wheelchair with a neck brace and other visible injuries.

The judge set Ruggs bail for $150,000, ordering him to give up his passport, abstain from alcohol and controlled substances. He is set to appear back in court on Nov. 10.

The former Raiders receiver who was cut from the team on Tuesday night, is facing felony D.U.I. charges.
