Houston judge issues warrant for Tekashi69 after failing to appear in court

HOUSTON, Texas: A judge has issued a warrant for rapper Tekashi69, after he failed to appear in court for his hearing on Thursday.

This case stems from January, when the Brooklyn rapper, whose real name is Daniel Hernandez, was accused of grabbing a a teenage boy by the throat for recording him.

The 16 year old boy has since then decided not to move forward with prosecution, court documents show. He even took a photo with Tekashi69 a few months back.

Tekashi69 is currently in a NYC jail, where he is facing more serious charges. The rapper may facing up to life in prison. He’s facing charges of racketeering and firearm charges, along with his ex-manager “Shotti” and three other men.

His album ‘Dummy Boy’ was leaked online, but was soon released with his permission from behind bars. “Dummy Boy’ is now #2 on the Billboard charts.
