Ice Spice Sued By Rapper Over ‘In Da Hood’ Copyright Infringement

NYC – Ice Spice is being sued by a rapper over the song ‘In Da Hood”, claiming she stole it.

Rapper D. Chamberz is claiming he recorded a similar song titled “In That Mood” a year before Ice Spice dropped her song, according to the Daily News.

Chamberz says he is now suing the cut-out rapper along with his producer for copy infringement, accusing her of copying his song, the outlet reports.

The song was played at the well-known NYC Hip-Hop radio station Hot97.

The Coney Island rapper claims Ice Spices’ songs copies the beat, lyrics, hook metrical placement, rhythmic structure and narrative context to his song.

Chamberz is seeking at least half of the song’s revenue and other damages.
