Illinois Graduate student missing, family pleads for help

ILLINOIS- A graduate student has been missing since August and his family are pleading for any information on his whereabouts.

Jelani “JJ” Day, a graduate student at Illinois State University, was last seen on Aug, 24, according to his family.

Day was reported missing on Aug. 25 by his family after they were unable to contact him and he didn’t show up to his classes for several days.

According to a ‘DateLine: Missing In America’ flyer, Day was last heard of on Aug. 23, when he called his family and texted his program director about an assignment.

On Aug. 24, Day was seen on security cameras at the Beyond/Hello cannabis  store around 9:15 a.m.

On Aug. 26, Illinois police found his white 2010 Chrysler 300 in a wooded area in Peru, Illinois, with his the blue cap he was seen wearing and his shirt inside.

Day is a described as 6’2, 180 lbs with brown eyes and black hair.
