DALLAS- Iman Shumpert was arrested for possession of marijuana at the Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport.
The 32-year-old NBA star was taken into custody after he attempted to board a flight to Los Angeles but was stopped when TSA discovered a bag with a “green leafy substance”, according to TMZ.
A test was conducted by the TSA and it was determined that the substance in the bag Shumpert had contained 6.12 ounces of marijuana, according to TMZ.
Shumpert admitted that the bag did contain marijuana and he was arrested.
He was also accused of carrying a Glock magazine and 14 9mm rounds in his bag, but not for possessing a firearm.
TMZ reports that Shumpert could face up to two years in prison for his misdemeanor charge.
