Instagram unveils the ‘Restrict’ feature to control bullying’ allows you to approve comments

Instagram and it’s researchers spoke to groups of people who use their app and asked them how they felt about online bullying and trolls leaving hate comments under their page.

The people were asked if they block these people, and they said they don’t, because when you block somebody, they know, along with a few other reasons.

Instagram listened, and now has an anti-bullying feature ‘Restrict’ which will allow you to approve your favorite trolls comments before they post them.

If someone is bullying you, the new feature allows you to restrict them.

Once you’ve restricted that person or person’s, when they go to leave more comments, you will be notified, and your permission will be needed for their comment to post.

As far as them trying to get in your D.M.’s, don’t worry, their messages will go to a different inbox, and you could still read it. They won’t even know it, because Instagram won’t notify them that you did.

To restrict a person, swipe left on the comment they left, use the privacy tab in settings, or go straight to the person’s account and restrict.
