FLORIDA- Investigators are searching a landfill in Broward county, for the body of a missing mother.
21-year-old Leila Cavett, disappeared two months ago. Her 2-year-old son was found wandering around an apartment complex on July 26th, but Cavett was nowhere to be found.
Cavett’s vehicle was found abandoned in the Hollywood area.
Authorities aren’t saying what led them to search the landfill, but according to Cavett’s mother, she was told by them that her daughter is dead.
Cavett traveled from her hometown of Georgia to Florida, to allegedly meet a male friend she had met online, according to her mother. She hasn’t been seen since July 25.
Police arrested Shannon Ryan, a proclaimed witch doctor, who posted a video on his Facebook, saying he had a friendship with Levett, and that the last time he saw her, was when they were at a gas station and she took her son, and left with two mysterious men in their vehicle.
Surveillance video from the gas station only showed Ryan’s vehicle.
Police have charged Ryan with a kidnapping charge and two counts of lying to authorities, but not for Levett’s death.
