Jacksonville Sheriff Says ‘We Won’t Tolerate Revenge’ After Julio Foolio’s Death

FLORIDA – A Jacksonville Sheriff says he’s focused on those connected to slain rapper Julio Foolio.

Sheriff T.K. Waters said he called for discussions with his staff on paying close attention to rival gang members in the wake of the rapper’s killing Sunday.

‘We’re not going to allow you to just arbitrarily run around and spray bullets into people’s houses and cars… We’re not going tolerate any retribution, any revenge. We’re going to watch. We’re going to be around paying attention to what’s going on,” Waters said. “If it takes us following them one at a time, then we’ll do that, maybe secretly, maybe overtly, but we’ll keep them off balance, so they can’t shoot up cars and houses and whatever they want to do,” he said.

Waters wouldn’t say the names of the groups…

Julio Foolio and his long-time rival rapper Yungeen Ace are allegedly in two different violent street gangs. Foolio was allegedly apart of KTA and Yungeen is an alleged affiliate of ATK.

Julio Foolio was shot and killed in an ambush early Sunday. The deadly shooting left three others wounded who were treated at a hospital. He was celebrating his 26th birthday in Tampa with friends.

There have been no arrests made.
