Jam Master Jay’s Godson, 2nd Man Found Guilty Of Killing Him

NYC – A guilty verdict was reached Tuesday in the murder trial for two men charged with killing DJ Jam Master Jay.

Prosecutors say Jam Master Jay’s godson, Karl Jordan Jr., and his childhood friend, Ronald Washington, killed the DJ after he cut them off from a cocaine trafficking deal.

Jam Master Jay, whose real name is Jason Mizell, was shot and killed inside of his recording studio in 2002.

Jordan Jr. was 18 at the time of the killing.

Tony Rincon, who was shot at the studio that night, didn’t come forward until years later, testifying that he feared for his life.

Jam Master Jay was part of RUN DMC, one of the biggest influential rap groups in history.

His murder remained a mystery for almost two decades.

36 witnesses were called throughout the trial.

A third suspect, Jay Bryant, is expected to face trial this year.
