Judge Rules Kodak Black Can Be Released From Federal Custody

MIAMI, FLORIDA – A judge ruled Wednesday that rapper Kodak Black could be released from federal custody after he was arrested two months ago, according to his lawyer.

His lawyer, Bradford Cohen, told Rolling Stone that the 26-year-old Florida rapper was expected to walk out of a Florida jail Wednesday night.

He is expecting the birth of his son, who he has named Prince, as I wrote before.

The rapper, whose real name is Bill Kapri, was arrested on Dec. 7 after police said he was found asleep at the wheel of his car with white powder around his mouth. A lab test revealed the white substance was oxycodone.

His lawyer proved in court that he had a prescription for the pills.

The drug possession charge was dropped against him two weeks ago.
