Judge rules Tekashi 6ix9ine will not be serving his sentence at home

Rapper Tekashi 6ix9ine will not be serving the remaining time of his sentence at home.

Manhattan federal judge Paul Engelmayer denied a request sent to him by the Brooklyn rappers lawyer, asking that he be transferred from a prison to his home.

According to Tekashi 6ix9ine’s lawyer, the rapper says that his safety is in danger because it’s allegedly overpopulated with Bloods, and that they want to harm for “snitching.”

Tekashi 6ix9ine, whose real name is Daniel Hernandez, was charged with racketeering, along with other charges in 2018. He was facing over 30 years in prison, but decided to cooperate with prosecutors, which brought his sentence down to just two years.
