Judge Rules YSL Attorney’s Laptop Can Be Searched After Defendant Used It To Access Instagram

FULTON COUNTY- A judge has ruled that a defense attorney’s laptop can be searched after his client used it to access Instagram in the court room.

The defendant’s attorney, Eric Johnson, was in the process of selecting jurors for the YSL trial involving rapper Young Thug when Christian Eppinger got on the computer and illegally accessed Instagram, reports WSBTV.

It was then discovered that Eppinger was communicating with a Fulton County sheriff’s deputy on Instagram, according to WSBV.

The deputy was identified and fired from her job for her relationship with Eppinger.

An attorney for Johnson, Denorris Heard, argued that searching the laptop would violate the attorney-client privilege, WSBTV reported.

The judge ordered the laptop to be stored to the forensic expert, where the expert will image it in order to get the evidence listed in the warrant.

The expert will have one week to sort through the laptop.

Eppinger’s will be tried on his own in the YSL trial.
