CHICAGO- Jussie Smollett was indicted on Tuesday in a Chicago court.
The six-count indictment was brought on by special prosecutor Dan Webb.
According to Webb, who held a press conference, Smollett is being charged with making four false reports to Chicago police.
Smollet has been charged with hiring two brother’s who helped him stage the fake attack in Jan of 2019.
The “Empire” star was let go scotch free last year, but not the two brothers involved, who were sent by Smollett to buy mask, a noose, including a MAGA hat, so he could blame his staged attack on two imaginary Trump supporter’s that he said slurred homophobic remarks to him, beat him, poured bleach and fought him.
Smollett was originally charged with 16 counts of felonies last year, but in March, the Cook County’s State’s Attorney Kim Foxx dropped all the charges against him, which caused an uproar.
That’s when Webb came into the scene to take reexamine the case.
According to Fox32, Smollett is due back in court on Feb. 24.
