Jussie Smollett indicted on 16 felony counts

Jussie Smollett has been indicted on 16 felony counts by a Cooks County grand jury.

Smollett was first charged with one felony count of disorderly conduct after filing a fake police report on Feb. 20th. The “Empire” actor lied about being attacked, when he told Chicago Police he was attacked by two white males who wore MAGA hats, spit homophobic slurs at him, poured bleach on him and tied a noose around his neck on Jan 28th.

He also faked a letter that was mailed to “Empire” studios. The letter had threats on it about him and contained white powder. He may also be hit with federal charges for that.

The actor paid two brothers to stage a fake attack on him, because he wanted to bring attention to his salary that he wasn’t happy with. His salary was reportedly $60,000 an episode.
