Jussie Smollett’s scenes will be cut for this upcoming week on ‘Empire’ due his pending investigation with Chicago Police.
The show is still reportedly filming in Chicago.
Smollett plays Jamal Lyon, a gay songwriter/singer on the FOX show. He was set to have five scenes and a big musical performance in the second-to-last episode according to TMZ.
Smollett hasn’t been really cooperating with Chicago police, as they’ve asked him for another interview, after new details are allegedly showing that he may have paid the two brothers who were in police custody to stage the attack.
The brothers said that the “attack” was rehearsed, and police say the noose that Smollett said was used by two white males who wore MAGA hats, were actually purchased at a hardware store, including plain red hats, that resemble MAGA hats.
