Jussie Smollett refuses to turn his phone over to police. There is also new evidence. Why won’t he cooperate?

According to reporter Rob Elgas and several Chicago news outlets, police have confirmed that Smollett, and his manager Brandon Moore told investigators that they were on the phone during the attack, but police can’t verify this because they’re refusing to hand over both of their phones.

Sounds pretty weird. Why wouldn’t they cooperate with police?

Rob Elgas also says that Smollett was seen on one side of the street, and the persons of interest were on the opposite side of the street, sitting on a bench.

There is also video of Smollet entering a condo building, where police say he’s seen wearing a rope around his neck and it is “wearing it like a neck tie.”

The next time Smollett is seen on surveillance camera, he is entering a condo building. Police say he now has a rope around his neck and is "wearing it like a neck tie". About a minute (maybe less) has passed since he was seen on video.

Why would he still have a rope around his neck?

The reason why police need their phones, which is crucial to this investigation, is because both Smollett and Moore said that the two white racist, MAGA hat wearing men allegedly yelled ” This a MAGA country” and they need proof of that.

So far, they have footage of two white males, that are wearing MAGA hats, but there is still no proof that Smollett was attacked. Police now have photos of these two men that were seen in the area and are asking for the public’s help in identifying them, so that they can be questioned as persons of interest, not suspects.
