KANSAS – One person was killed and at least 15 others were injured after a shooting near the Kansas City Chief’s Super Bowl Parade Wednesday afternoon, police said.
Thousands of attendees raced for safety as gunfire erupted west of Union Station at the end of the victory parade.
Five victims suffered serious injuries; three victims were in critical condition and one person was listed in stable condition, The Kansas City Fire Department said.
Several suspected shooters were taken into custody.
