Kodak Black apologizes to victim he sexually assaulted at sentencing
SOUTH CAROLINA- Rapper Kodak Black was sentenced to probation on Wednesday for sexually assaulting a teen girl.
The rapper, whose real name is Bill Kapri, was originally charged with rape, but accepted a plea deal and pleaded guilty to first-degree assault.
Kapri will not be sentenced to 10 years in prison, as long as he completes 18 months of probation.
Kapri apologized to the unidentified victim, who was watching the plea online. He told her “I apologize this happened, and I’m hopeful we can all move forward.”
He then tweeted that the victim just wanted the case to be over, adding “I ain’t have to come off no money”.
Kapri forced himself on the teen girl, inside of a hotel room in 2016. He bit her breast and neck as the she told him “stop” several times.
The girl told a school counselor, who then contacted police.
