Lamar Odom admitted to using a fake penis to pass a drug test for the Olympics in his new unreleased book titled ‘Darkness to Light: A Memoir.’ The story was first reported by People Magazine’s Nathalie Stone.
In 2004, Odom needed to pass a drug test in order for him to play for Team USA in Athens. He would play alongside Carmelo Anthony, Dwyane Wade and more.
Odom wrote in his book “The joy of being named to the 12-man roster quickly turned to anxiety when Olympic officials informed me that I would have to pass a drug test before officially joining the team.”
He knew that his urine would come out dirty because he was getting high, so him along with his trainer looked up ways on the internet to pass the test. After searching, they decided on using a prosthetic penis (yes, you read that right).
Odom’s trainer filled the prosthetic penis with his own urine, gave it to Odom, who “peed” by squeezing on the shaft.
He went to pass the test, and win the Bronze medal for the USA.
I wonder if they’ll take his achievements back, after admitting to faking a drug test?
