CHICAGO – Rapper Lil Durk’s brother, rapper DThang, was caught in a crossfire on a chaotic night when he was killed, according to police.
Police say that there were multiple gunshots, and guns recovered by the strip club Club O early Sunday, reports NBC5.
Before DThang, whose real name is Dontay Banks, was discovered by police, there was an altercation that turned into a shooting, which injured a police officer. It’s unclear if that shooting is connected to Banks death.
Police say they found Banks’ body about 500 feet away from the previous shooting. He had been shot in his head and was pronounced dead at the scene. Police believe that Banks was fatally shot as others were firing.
DThang was signed to his brother’s label.
