Rapper Lil Ui Vert gave a heartfelt eulogy at rapper Lotta Cash Desto’s funeral this past weekend.
Lotta Cash Desto, whose real name is Destinee Govan, was laid to rest in her hometown of Memphis 2 weeks after her death.
Many rappers, including local ones showed up to pay their respects to the “Lunchroom” rapper.
Lil Uzi, who she was signed to, showed up to her service with a red leather jacket with Lotta Cash Desto’s face on it. The Philly rapper said during her eulogy “even if she called me to argue, she called me every day.”
He added “I ain’t even gon’ lie, but this don’t even feel real to me,” he somberly said. “Destinee always was on my hip everywhere I go.”
As I wrote before, Lotta Cash was shot with another female rapper on Sept. 24, Police found both victims with gunshot wounds. Desto, the driver, was pronounced dead on the scene.
The second victim was taken to a hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. Another victim, a male, was found with gunshot wounds nearby and also taken to a hospital
