Live Nation requires concertgoers to get COVID-19 vaccine

Live Nation has announced that it will require all concertgoers to be vaccinated of they want to attend one of their concerts in.

In a statement to Rolling Stone, the company says the new policy will be effective Oct. 4 “where permitted by law”.

“Vaccines are going to be your ticket back to shows, and as of October 4th we will be following the model we developed for Lollapalooza and requiring this for artists, fans and employees at Live Nation venues and festivals everywhere possible in the US,” Live Nation President and CEO Michael Rapino said in a statement on Friday to Rolling Stone and NBC.

Live Nation required vaccines for those who attended the Lollapalooza music festival in Chicago.

Employees will also be required to get vaccinated.
