LOS ANGELES- The Los Angeles District Attorney’s Office says it is investigating claims that singer Tory Lanez assaulted August Alsina this past weekend.
In a statement to Pitchfork, the Los Angeles District Attorney’s Office said, “We are aware of the allegations that the defendant attacked artist August Alsina are investigating these claims.”
August claims Tory approached him with his security guards as he was leaving the concert Saturday. He says Tory and his crew allegedly followed and pressed him.
In newly released footage of the incident, August can be seen walking by Tory, as Tory extends his hand out for a handshake, but August looked at him and kept it moving.
Tory Lanez made a video a few years back during the time August had revealed that he was in a relationship with Jada Pinkett Smith and seemingly called him a “snitch” for revealing their past relationship.
Tory has denied assaulting August and claims he was recording music in the studio.
