Madonna has publicly called out singer/rapper Tory Lanez for illegally sampling her song “Into the groove” on his track “Pluto’s Last Comet” from his 80’s inspired album ‘Alone At Prom.”
Madonna went under one of Tory’s Instagram posts and wrote “Read your messages for illegal usage of my song get into the groove!”.
Yikes…
“Into the Groove” was written and produced by Madonna and Stephen Bray in 1985.
“Pluto’s Last Comet” was written by Lanez and produced by Orlando tha Great and Cha Johnson.
Tory Lanez hasn’t responded, and he’s currently in an ongoing trial for allegedly shooting Megan Thee Stallion in Oct. of 2020.
