MEMPHIS – The man accused of killing rapper Blac Younsta’s brother had his bond set Thursday.
Randy Ewing appeared before a judge for his bond hearing that was set at $1 million in connection to the killing of Tomanuel Benson, according to WREG.
Ewing may be facing up to 60 years in prison.
“You’ve also been charged with an A felony, second-degree murder. That carries 15-60 years if you’re convicted,” the judge said, according to the outlet.
Benson was shot and killed outside of a BP gas station last August.
Ewing and Benson were seen arguing before the shooting. Ewing allegedly shot Benson in the back of his head and fired shots into a vehicle.
Ewing was on the run for 6 months and there was a reward of $5,000 any information leading to his death.
U.S Marshal’s found Ewing walking on Creighton Ave on Tuesday night.
He attempted to run back to his home but was taken down by police K-9 and arrested.
Police said he was found with a stolen gun during his arrest.
Ewing is due back in court on Friday.
