Man Accused Of Killing Rapper Trouble Denied Bail; Rapper Died Protecting Woman, Investigator

GEORGIA – The man accused of killing rapper Trouble was denied bond and will remain behind bars.

Jamichael Jones, 33, appeared in court on Wednesday for his bond hearing, reports Fox5Atlanta.

An investigator with the Rockdale County Sheriff’s Office testified in court about the events on the day the rapper was killed.

Patrick Simmons said deputies were called on June 5 to the Lake St. James Apartment complex after a resident called 911. The neighbor told 911 that a female resident screaming for help, according to Fox5Atlanta.

Investigators say Jones, who once lived at the apartment, had broken up with his girlfriend a week before the deadly shooting. Simmons told the court that the two had dated for about two years.
The investigator said Jones forced his way into the apartment and began assaulting the unidentified woman that night.

Trouble, whose real name is Mariel Orr, attempted to stop the assault, but was fatally shot by Jones. A .40 caliber shell casing was found but no gun.

Police found Trouble on the apartment floor with a single gunshot wound to his chest and a neighbor performing CPR on him. He was rushed to a hospital, where he later died.
