GEORGIA- A man is being accused of scamming almost $1 million from his job.
According to police, 19-year-old Tre Brown scammed more than $980,000 from a Kroger store where he worked at from December and January, The New York Post reports.
Brown had created more than 40 returns for non-existent items, putting them on credit cards. The fake returns ranged from $75 to more than $87,000.
Police say that Brown used the money to purchase vehicles, guns, shoes and clothes.
Brown was caught after the the returns grabbed the attention of Kroger corporate employees, who contacted police.
Brown has been charged with theft by taking.
