LOUISIANA- Police arrested a man in connection to the death of his 2-year-old step-daughter.
Phillip Gardner, 30, was arrested and charged with unlawful disposal of remains and obstruction of justice after the remains of his step-daughter were discovered on Sunday, Baton Rouge police said in a press conference.
Gardner was arrested two days after the toddler, identified as Naveah Allen, went missing.
According to WAFB, the toddlers body was found 100 miles from Baton Rouge.
An autopsy is pending to determine the child’s cause of death.
