MISSISSIPPI- Police have arrested a man after he allegedly kidnapped a Lyft driver Tuesday, forcing her into the woods before shooting her, police say.
Dontarius McGee was arrested after the incident, according to Jackson Deputy Chief of Police Deric Hearn, WJTV reported.
The driver, Brandy Littrell, 36, picked the man up at an apartment complex. McGee allegedly pulled a gun out on Littrell and forced her in the backseat of a black Dodger Journey before driving her into a wooded area.
McGee forced Littrell to crawl, before he shot her multiple times.
Littrell told WJTV that she pretended to be dead after hearing the first gunshot. She was taken to a hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
McGee was charged with kidnapping, aggravated assault and carjacking.
