Harlem, New York: A man from Harlem was arrested on Tuesday after Police say he allegedly beat his girlfriend with a Hammer and then set her on fire. Larry McGloster, 26, was arrested on Tuesday after Police were called around 11 am to what seemed like an arson call, but instead found a 32 year old female victim beaten and burned. NYPD says the victim was beaten with a hammer before being set on fire. One neighbor, which was the only neighbor to open their door told WPIX 11 that the victim was running in the hallway banging on neighbors doors screaming “Help!, somebody help me!”. Bonnie Chapman was the only neighbor who opened their door and said they saw the victims body engulfed in flames and screaming in a fetal position on the floor. Chapman saved the woman by throwing a sheet over the her and extinguishing the fire, until Police arrived on the scene. The victim was taken to the Hospital and is currently in critical condition. NYPD have charged McGloster with attempted murder, arson, assault and criminal possession of a weapon.
