GEORGIA- A man was arrested Tuesday after allegedly killing his mother and stepfather, according to police.
Peyton Moyer, 20, was arrested and charged with two counts of murder and one count of cruelty to children. He’s currently being held at the Oconee County Jail.
Moyer allegedly killed his mother, 41-year-old Ashley Schult and his stepfather 54-year-old Benjamin Smith.
Police responded to reports of a shooting at a home around midnight on Tuesday and found Smith and Schultz dead from apparent gunshot wounds.
Moyer’s 4-year-old and 16-year-old sister were home at the time.
Moyer fled the scene in one of his parent’s vehicles but was later arrested.
There is no clear motive for the killings.
