MEMPHIS- The Memphis Police Department (MPD) arrested a man who threatened to those attending rapper Yo Gotti’s ‘Birthday Bash’ concert Saturday, police said.
Memphis Police responded after 2:46 a.m. on July 16 to the 200 block of South Main Street for an armed mental consumer, according to reports.
Officers were met by the suspect, Elijah Hyman and his girlfriend. Police say Hyman seemed upset over a break-up with his girlfriend.
Hyman threatened to kill those attending the event at FedEx Forum and himself, because he was upset over his break-up.
Hyman had several guns in his home.
He was arrested and taken for a mental evaluation.
Yo Gotti took to Twitter, thanking, Memphis Police for stopping the potential mass shooting.
