MIAMI- A man was caught on surveillance video walking behind a woman at a bus stop before he attempted to strangle her with a pair of shoelaces, police said.
Aaron K. Quinones, 27, was arrested and charged with an attempted murder charge.
The Miami-Dade Police Dept. said the 26-year-old victim was waiting at the bus stop at 11 a.m. on Jan. 2 when she was attacked by Quinones.
Quinones can be seen behind the victim with one leg on a bench, appearing to tie his shoelaces. He looks around, takes the shoelaces and sneaks up from behind the victim, pulling the laces around her neck.
The victim fought back, while Quinones punched her several times before a good Samaritan stepped in to stop the attack.
Quinones fled the scene but was arrested in the area.
