Man Arrested For Allegedly Torturing, Killing Puppies In Hotel Room

TEXAS- A man has been charged after allegedly torturing and killing puppies in different hotels after getting the animals on Facebook.

Tyler Hastings Berry, 27, was scheduled to appear in court on Friday on animal cruelty charges after he was arrested earlier this week.

Berry is accused of killing two puppies and throwing their bodies in a trash can inside of his Hyatt House hotel room last year, according to a police affidavit, reports KVUE.

The dead puppies were discovered by hotel employees after he checked out. They also found hypodermic needles in the room.

The puppies hadn’t been fed or given water for at least two days before they were killed.

He had prior cases of animal cruelty involving a pit bull who was found dead in a DoubleTree Suite he was staying at in 2021. A vet determined that the dog was likely ‘strangled or partially drowned.”

Berry is charged with two misdemeanor counts of cruelty to non-livestock animals in relation to the puppies and third-degree felony cruelty to animals for the pit bull’s death, court records show.
