TEXAS- Police have arrested a man in connection to the death of an 11-year-old who was found dead underneath her father’s bed.
Juan Carlos Garcias-Rodriguez, 18, was arrested and charged with the girl’s murder, the Pasadena Police Department announced on Saturday.
Maria Gonzelez’s body was found by her father stuffed inside of a garbage bag beneath his bed last week after she texted him that a strange man was at their door.
Police say Gonzelez was strangled and sexually assaulted.
Garcias-Rodriguez was questioned by police but fled to Louisiana where he was arrested and gave a “full confession”, police said.
A key belonging to Garcias-Rodriguez was left at the crime scene and was a crucial piece of evidence.
