HARLEM- A man has been arrested and charged after raping an elderly woman.
38-year-old Frankie Harris was arrested on Saturday and charged with attempted murder, rape, strangulation and sex abuse.
His victim was a 64-year-old woman who was walking alone when Harris was caught on surveillance camera’s coming from behind her, putting her in a headlock and began sexually assaulting and beating her.
The victim was so brutally beaten that she was put in a vegetative state on Friday, and is now in an induced coma.
A witness saw the elderly woman laid out in the middle of the street and called police.
