DALLAS- A man was arrested after police say he allegedly broke into the Dallas Museum of Art and damaged millions in artwork, police said.
Brian Hernandez is accused of breaking in the museum before 10 p.m., and going on a rampage, police said. He allegedly broke a display case and smashed a 6th century B.C. Greek amphora and a Freel pot that dates back to 450 B.C., worth $5 million, report Fox News.
That’s not all he damaged.
Hernandez is accused of also smashing a bowl from 6th century B.C., worth about $100,000 and a ceramic Caddo effigy bottle valued at $10,000, according to reports Fox News.
Hernandez told police that he broke into the museum because he was “he got mad at his girl”.
Hernandez was charged with criminal mischief of more than or equal to $300,000, carrying up to five years to life in prison.
