LOS ANGELES- Cameron James Pettit was arrested by Drug Enforcement Administration agents from the Los Angeles Police dept for the connection he played in rapper Mac Miller’s deadly overdose.
Petit was arrested on federal charges.
According to the U.S. Attorney’s office, Pettit allegedly sold Miller counterfeit oxycodone pills that contained fentanyl.
In a 42-page criminal complaint filed in the Central District of California, Miller had texted Pettit a few days before he died, asking Pettit to bring Oxy’s cocaine and Xanax. Pettit agreed.
Pettit was also arrested for allegedly selling the same pills two days before the young rapper died.
Mac Miller was found unresponsive in his Los Angeles home by a friend in Sept of 2018.
It was later announced that he had died from a drug overdose.
