Man Charged With Coordinating Rapper Young Dolph’s Murder To Appear In Court With New Judge

MEMPHIS – The man charged with facilitating the murder of rapper Young Dolph will be appearing in court for a hearing today (Nov. 2.).

Hernandez Govan, 43, is scheduled to appear before the new judge presiding in the case, Judge Jennifer Mitchell at 9 a.m. inside Criminal Court Division 10′ courtroom, according to FOX 13 Memphis.

This hearing will be Govan’s first appearance before judge Mitchell.

Lee Coffee, Govan’s prior assigned judge, was removed from the trial after he was instructed to recuse himself by the Court Appeals on October 27.

The three other men charged in Dolph’s murder, Jermarcus Johnson, Justin Johnson and Cornelius Smith, have also been assigned to Judge Mitchell.

Young Dolph was gunned down at a cookie shop on November 17, 2021.
