TENNESSEE- A man who was charged with fatally shooting the mother of his 2-day-old daughter and throwing his baby off a boat ramp near the Mississippi River pleaded not guilty on Monday to his charges.
Brandon Isabelle, 25, told a judge during a hearing that he wasn’t guilty of first-degree murder, murder while committing an aggravated kidnapping, aggravated kidnapping and tampering or fabricating evidence.
Isabelle was arrested after Danielle Hoyle, 27, was found shot to death near an abandoned car on Feb. 1.
Isabelle then admitted to taking his newborn baby, identified as Kennedy Hoyle and tossed her into the water at a boat ramp, according to a police affidavit. He also threw the gun he used to kill Hoyle in the river.
Kennedy’s body was never found, but evidence proves she died, police say.
