Man Charged With Murder For Fatally Shooting Neighbor After Fight Over Dog Poop

TENNESSEE – A man has been charged with murder for allegedly shooting and killing his neighbor after a dispute over dog poop, police said.

Knoxville police said they responded around 6 p.m. to a report of a shooting at a house. When officers arrived, they discovered a man with gunshot wounds, and he was pronounced dead at the scene, WATE reported.

Police said Stefen White, 34, got into an argument with the unidentified neighbor when he asked him to pick up his pooch’s poop from their shared area, according to the outlet.

White allegedly pulled a gun out and shot the victim in the chest, according to an arrest warrant.

White was charged with second-degree murder.

Police said there is an ongoing investigation.
